Pirastro Obligato Violin Strings
These types of strings are one of my favorite synthetic strings on the market. In my
opinion, they sound the closest to a gut string of any other synthetic string. I use these
strings on one of my classical violins that I use for soloing. I love its gut feel especially
on the lower register. Obligato violin strings have a very dark and mellow tone that I
love on the G-String. They respond very well and play very clean when transitioning
strings. They don’t have much brightness at all and I would recommend these strings
to advanced classical players that play aggressively. I prefer to use a different “E”
String than the one that they provide but that is personal preference.

Buying at Amazon
Amazon.com is my favorite place to buy violin strings. They have the lowest prices on
strings that I have seen on the Internet. They have a huge selection that includes
almost every specific string gauge and material on the market. Below are links to buy
Obligato Violin Sets on Amazon and a link to browse specific string types for Obligato.
