Pirastro Eudoxa Violin Strings
These strings are probably the most popular gut strings on the market. Before
synthetic strings came into existence, these might have been the most popular violin
strings period. Eudoxa strings aren't cheap but are well worth the dollar if you are
looking for a thick sound. They are exceptionally rich and very full sounding with a
great mellow tone. They don’t respond as fast as a synthetic string but can sometimes
be exactly the right string for certain playing styles. Overall Eudoxa's are probably my
favorite “gut string.” At some point in an advanced classical violinist’s career, I highly
recommend that they at least try Eudoxa Violin Strings.
